Plumbing Repairs

The repairs that make up most days

Most plumbing calls are not emergencies. They are the dripping faucet you have stopped hearing, the toilet that runs at night, the shower that lost pressure, the shutoff valve that will not turn. Small things, until one of them is not.

Genzel handles residential plumbing repairs across McKinney and Collin County. Licensed, insured, Texas license RMP-23766, family-owned since 2001.

What we repair
  • Leaking and dripping faucets, indoors and outside
  • Toilets that run, rock, leak at the base or clog constantly
  • Shower valves and cartridges, including no hot water at one fixture
  • Water lines, including breaks and reroutes
  • Shutoff valves and emergency shutoffs
  • Low or uneven water pressure
  • Garbage disposals
  • Hose bibs and freeze damage after a hard winter
If you are not sure what is wrong

You do not need to diagnose it before you call. Describe what you are seeing and we will work out what it is. Half of the calls we take start with someone apologizing for not knowing the right word for it.

You will know the price before we start

We explain what is wrong, show you the options and review the pricing before any work begins. Most repairs come with Good, Better, Best choices, so a repair that fits your budget is an actual option rather than a conversation you have to force.

Fixed right the first time

Our repairs are backed by a warranty. Paying twice for the same problem is the thing homeowners tell us they resent most about plumbers, so we do not work that way.

Arrival updates, not a four hour window

You can track your plumber and get updates as they head to you. Your time counts.

Emergency repairs

Plumbing does not keep office hours. If you have a burst line, no water, or water where it should not be, call (972) 238-5585. Emergency calls are prioritized and we will give you the next available arrival window.

Repair questions we get asked

Where is my main water shutoff and should I know?
Yes, before you need it. In most Collin County homes it is either near the front of the house at the meter box or on an exterior wall. Find it on a calm afternoon rather than at midnight with water coming through a ceiling.

Is a dripping faucet worth calling about?
It is worth fixing. A steady drip wastes a surprising amount over a year, and the wear that causes it does not reverse. It is also one of the cheapest visits we do.

My water pressure dropped everywhere in the house. What causes that?
Common causes are a failing pressure regulator, a partly closed valve, or scale narrowing older pipes. If the drop was sudden rather than gradual, it is worth looking at quickly, because a leak can also present that way.

Do you charge to come out and look?
Fees vary with the type of work and the time of day. Ask when you call and we will tell you before we book anything. Guardian Plan members pay no dispatch fee at all.
